About Sarah Dickerman
Sarah Dickerman is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in family practice. Sarah began her career in health and wellness as a licensed massage therapist, pursuing nursing several years later. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Nursing degrees.
Sarah fell in love with nursing while training in the emergency department as a nurse resident and was later hired as a graduate registered nurse. While working in emergency medicine she spent time at the patient bedside, as a senior practicum and graduate nurse preceptor, eventually moving into leadership as an Assistant Nurse Manager. While in the emergency department Sarah acquired valuable knowledge and experience caring for patients with acute illnesses and chronic diseases. This experience is what led her to pursue a degree in advanced practice nursing.
Sarah is passionate about integrative health and nutrition. As a nurse practitioner she has spent time in obesity management assisting patients in reaching their health and wellness goals through individualized care plans. She values the importance of achieving whole person optimum health by combining traditional Western medicine with alternative and complimentary therapies, nutrition, and exercise.
In addition to her practice in advanced nursing, Sarah enjoys time with her husband and son, a young and vibrant little league baseball player. “If I’m not with my patients, you can almost always find me at the baseball field.”
