What is Dynamic Stretching?

Dynamic stretching is a full-body warm-up. This is a more active type of stretching. Rather than stagnant stretching while laying on the floor, dynamic stretching is more active and requires full-body participation. Rather, a dynamic stretching routine takes practitioners through a series of movements. The goal of this type of stretching is to increase range of motion, steadily increasing heart rate, and to get blood flow moving through various muscle groups.

Dynamic stretching is basically a warm-up. It’s an excellent way to prepare your body for cardiovascular exercise and resistance training.

Leg Swings

Be diligent about swinging your legs in a controlled manner. Leg swings help to loosen your legs for more physical cardiovascular training.

If you’re looking to increase blood flow to the shoulders, rotator cuffs, and neck, arm circles are an excellent way to do it!
