A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse, or RN, who has received additional training and certifications in a particular area of medical practice. In fact, they have a Master’s Degree, known as an MSN, and must be board-certified. NP’s work under the supervision of a Medical Doctor. Together, the pair works to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions and illnesses.
